- I also admire the new Pope. Ideological differences would prevent me from being Catholic, but I do believe that this Pope is a fresh start in many ways for the Church. I hope he continues to be humble and to live simply; that would be wonderful. I find him to be an inspiration.

- This is disgraceful. Congress doesn't seem to care a whit about what this is doing to the country. My husband stands to lose his job as a direct result of these cuts. - I had the same thought. My heart breaks for the family, but I do feel there was a degree of negligence on their part for leaving the child unsupervised with the teen.

- Actually, this concept hearkens back to the 17th century. Toddlers at that time wore what were called "pudding caps" to cushion their heads from falls and other accidents. These hats were commonly used until the late 18th century. Not such a bad idea, in my opinion.

- I couldn't agree more. People need to have priorities, and if your priority as a woman is a career, then that is what you should focus on. You should not, in my opinion, have children as well. Children are--or at least SHOULD be-- a full-time job.
